Our Story
Our president's father, Mr. José Marcos Ferreira, spent 29 years as an executive with the Votorantim Group, one of Brazil's largest and most established privately held industrial groups.
In 1993, after nearly three decades in the corporate world, he began a new entrepreneurial chapter by establishing his own trading company in Brazil.
As the business expanded, he recognized the importance of establishing a presence in the United States and entrusted our president, Marcelo Ferreira, with leading that development.
On August 12, 1995, Marcelo arrived in the U.S. to begin that journey.
What started as an entrepreneurial vision has evolved into more than three decades of international business experience across countries, cultures, and industries—developing markets, representing international companies, identifying strategic partners, and building the global relationships that define FERTG today.
This experience, including 31 years of direct presence in the U.S. market, now forms the foundation of FERTG's international consulting and advisory practice.

1993
The Entrepreneurial Beginning
After 29 years as an executive with Votorantim, José Marcos Ferreira leaves the corporate environment and establishes an independent trading business in Brazil.
1995
Establishing a U.S. Presence
On August 12, 1995, Marcelo Ferreira relocates to the United States to establish and develop the company's U.S. operations, creating a platform for international expansion and cross-border business development.
FERTG makes its first business development trip to China to explore sourcing, manufacturing, and international business opportunities.

Expansion into China

Relocation to North Carolina
FERTG relocates its U.S. operations from Florida to Concord, North Carolina.
2009
China Office Established
FERTG establishes its China office in Tianjin, strengthening its presence in Asia and expanding its international sourcing and business development capabilities.
FERTG partners with PowerCem Technologies, a Dutch global proven soil stabilization technology company, to develop infrastructure market opportunities in Brazil and other South American markets.

India Office Established
FERTG establishes its India office in Jalandhar, strengthening its presence in India and expanding its international sourcing and business development capabilities.
FERTG successfully became a registered supplier for the United States government.
